Expectations

The project of Régis Duboys De Lavigerie, AMV MECA’s manager, was based on the desire to improve team management, to make his employees autonomous and to put the customer at the center of the workshop.

For this it was necessary to :

implement a collaborative visual management tool,
reduce the time spent in the workshop,
Better control of deadlines and better communication with customers.

Solutions

The idea of deploying a Conwip pull-flow control system, which is very well suited to the wide variety of blades manufactured, was quickly adopted.

The Conwip pull flow is based on visual control. This corresponds to the expectations of empowerment of employees and autonomy in the field.

The AMV MECA team is young and attracted by new technologies. The manager wanted to implement a solution that would meet their aspirations. He therefore opted for a digital board. It was also a signal to show that the company is moving towards Industry 4.0.

Project approach

The CEO entrusted the project to his Workshop Manager, with the aim of empowerment and autonomy.

A training session with the Conwip Game has united the employees around the new method.

Next, Wipsim’s teams set up the SmartWip digital board using AMV Meca’s resources and manufacturing lines.

After a training session to learn how to use the new digital flow control panel, the team quickly became autonomous in its daily use.

Results
